Acceptable Use for Kluge.Net

Things not to do on Kluge.Net

  1. Do not leave processes running after you have logged off of the system. If any of these are noticed, they will be killed. (Unless, of course, you have prior permission from the administrator.)
  2. Do not run any IRC bots... They suck up CPU resources, and I don't like them.
  3. Chain letters, spam, or anything of the kind is not allowed.
  4. Do not use your kluge.net for any illegal activities. (Specifically, pirating software.)
  5. Since there are no user quotas, there is no limit to the amount of files you can have in your directory. However, please be nice, and remember that since the system is free for you to use, you're here as a guest. If you need more than 30Mb, please send mail to the administrator (felicity@kluge.net) to see if there would be any problems with the space usage.

We used to be under the control of the WPI Acceptable Use Policy, and even though the kluge.net systems are no longer on the WPI campus, it's a good set of rules that all kluge.net users should follow.

These rules may be updated at any time without notice.
If you don't read your email or the system events at login, I'm not responsible if "you didn't know".
